On the 24th February, 2024 Sterling Technical Training Centre has successfully hosted the 6th Graduation ceremony at their Ultra-Modern Campus in Busumbala. about 300 students were conferred certificate and Diploma in various course areas; Solar PV Installation, Plumbing and Pipe Fittings, Electronics Security System (Networking, CCTV, Access Control, and Time Attendance) , Satellite Installation, Solar and Electrical Installation and Auto Mechanics.
Tijan N Jatta emerged the overall best graduating Diploma student in Solar Pv design installation and maintenance. Among other students who won prizes for the best graduating students in their course area are Famara Badgie cerficate in plumbing and pipe fitting, Baboucarr kebbeh satellite installation, Aminata jammeh vehicle diagnostic.
The former minister of Basic and secondary education Honourable Fatou lamin faye, the director of WASCAL program Proffessor Sidat Yaffa, and a representative of the Vice Chancellor of the university of the Gambia, representative from NAQAA, the founder of Insist Global Dr Jojoh who served as the guest speaker, and dignitaries from different institution joined the Board Chairperson Mr Dawda Kujabi and the staff to grace the occasion. The spectacular ceremony was chaired by Mr Sadibou Jammeh.
Dr Teeda Njie Sillah the newly appointed Director of Sterling technical traning centre advised students to be hardworking, focus and committed as they enter the job market while the Board Chairman Mr Dawda Kujabi also gave them similar advice and also emphases the need for professional skilled specialist to fill in the vacuum in the skill sector.
Aminatou Drammeh and fatoumatta Suwareh presented a skit on the importance of skills acquisition for both male and female, also encouraged parents and guardians to enrol their children at Sterling Technical Training Centre to acquire marketable skills. Aminata jammeh the overall best graduating student from the vehicle Diagonostic class delivered the vote of thanks where she encourage her fellow grandaunts to keep up the hard work, discipline and the top notch customer service they are trained for. Parents and guardians were present to witness the certification of their loved ones.
